Come check out Harlow! This is one of my most versatile necklaces. The browns and blacks allows this necklace to comliment many outfits. The jasper focal stone just pulls you in with its beautiful colors and texture.
When I came across this stone at one of the local bead shows, I instantly knew that it had to be a focal point in one of my designs. I love it when the stones inspire me to create and that is what this jasper stone did for me! I hope you all love it as much as I do!

This picture is from the trip that Dave and I took down to Savannah back in March. Yes, I know it was several months ago, but I am just getting around to looking at the photos. I am trying to be a little more "artistic" with my photography...such as this black and white of one of the downtown squares. Needless to say we had a fantastic time and enjoyed the landscape! I have once again lost track of my blog. I have not posted in over a month....shame on me! As you probably noticed with my absence I have been a little busy.
Here is a little update since it has been a "moment" since I've posted.
I recently started a new prn nursing job. It is working with children ages 7-17 who have severe emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. So far it has been a fantastic experience for me. Since my full time job is working with the adult population this really gives me a different perspective on mental illness and behavioral issues.

I have also been working on a newsletter. My goal is to create a quarterly newsletter via email and eventually work up to a monthly letter. So if you are interested, please sent my you email address and I will add you to the list. This is a great way to keep up with special sales and events!

January Apparel Mart

I wanted to share photos of my booth from the January Apparel Mart in Atlanta. This was my first big show and I learned a lot from it! Thought you guys might enjoy seeing my booth set up. It was such a joy getting ready for this event. The banner and the poster size photos are all new. I wanted to add more of a feminine touch to my booth set up for this event. I was in a craft store a few weeks before the event and came across the iron ladies and thought they would add that extra touch that was was looking for to my booth. All and all, I think it all came together for an eye-catching booth.

Over the past several years I have used Picasa for editing my photos. The first thing that drew me to Picasa was that it was free and its from Google. So, of course I downloaded it and started using it. This program is fast, fun, and easy to manaver. And trust me I needed something that was easy. This is by far my favorite program to use with my photos.
I really have not taken the time to play around with it and check out all it has to offer...until today. Well, I didn't check out all of the features, but I did find one that I LOVE!! And that is the Collage Feature. The collage above is a collection of my designs that I created with this feature. I just wanted to share my new find. You might be able to make a collage of your favorite photos with Picasa.

Unique polymer clay

As you stroll around my website, you will notice my eclectic nature. I find favorite materials and incorporate them into my creations. One of my favorite types of materials at the moment is polymer clay. I have found this amazing polymer clay artist and wanted to share some of her work with you thru my designs. I want you to take just a moment and study the detail in the these clay beads. As you look at them you will start to notice more and more detail as you spin the bead. I LOVE her work and you can tell by all the designs I have created with her polymer clay bead being the focal point.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

This necklace is one of my personal favorites!! I wear it all the time and get tons of compliments on it. I have several sets of earrings and necklaces on my website with polymer clay, please take a moment and check them out!

Hello March!!!

Well, we are off to a wintery start for March! The first day was filled with snow and from what I am reading this weekend will be a beautiful 75 degrees! Can this weather get any crazier!?!??
March 1st was my mom's birthday and I can not think of a better way to remember her birthday than to have it snow. This July will be 3 years since she passed, but I can't help but think she is smiling because there was snow on her birthday! She loved when we would have these unexpected wintery mixes here in Georgia. And she ALWAYS got a huge kick out of my dogs (her granddoggie's) reactions to the snow.
Job, my lab/retriever mix takes off with hugh excitement until his paws hit the snow. All of a sudden you see him sliding into the snow as he is putting on "his brakes" and then scrambles back to the patio. Bailey, my sheltie walks out cautiously as if he is "too pretty" to get his paws wet. Once they get accustom to the new soft environment they are quick to leap around in it and eat a trail of snow back door. It is pretty hilarious to watch them play and eat the snow!!
So, I guess to stay up with the weather I'll take them to the river for a nice swim. Here Job swims and Bailey cheers him on at the sidelines. You know he is too pretty to get wet!!

Relaxing Day

Today was a beautiful day to get many of my errands completed. The weather was beautiful to take the pups to the park and let them splash around in the water. My lab retriever (Job) LOVES the water! It is so funny to watch him splashing around and my miniature collie (Bailey) barking at him. Bailey is to "pretty" to get his feet wet and I can only imagine what he is barking at his brother!
So, after the park we came home and got the house somewhat tidy. It has been a moment since I have had a day just to enjoy and I enjoyed today!

Well, I see that my goal to update my blog on a weekly basis did not pan out last year. So this year will be the year!!! :-) Making new habits have always been hard for me and for some reason blogging is especially hard. But I am going to make an effort to blog weekly! Hi Everyone!! I am still on my "blue" kick and wanted to share my latest listing on etsy. It seems that everything that I have recently created have had the color blue in its design somewhere... Hope you enjoy this bracelet and earrings set!!

This is Charlene and she is a stunning bracelet! This bracelet give the illusion of 5 strands, but they are rolled into one strand. Beautiful oval turquoise stones are surrounded by black tourmaline stones to give the turquoise stones that added “pop” they so deserve!!

And to the right is Charlene's Ears! These earrings are 1 3/4" in length and compliment Charlene.

Just wanted to share some new creations before we all Celebrate the 4th of July.

Lauren
For this necklace, designed a flowing twisted dangle for its focal piece. A Beautiful 14mm round crazy lace agate stone, twisted sterling silver, and faceted swarovski crystals dangle from this oxidized sterling silver chain. Moving up this necklace 2 inches from the center dangle sits a variation of the above materials along with a 6mm round crazy lace agate stone. This necklace is just at 17 inches with a 2 inch extender chain (total19 inches in length). Two beautiful faceted swarovski crystals dangle from the end of the extender chain for an added element of beauty. A sterling silver lobster claw clasp completes this design.

I always say that I see and curves and this set allowed me to design my "curve" into its design.

These unique earrings are definitely a conversation piece.
Mini lady faces displaying their individual personality are the focal bead of these earrings. These little beads are made from polymer clay and created by a local etsy artisan.
4mm swarovski crystals are placed above and below the 10mm polymer clay mini lady bead to accent her red lips. (Notice the checkers that surround the mini face) Sterling silver chain flows up from the lady bead to a beautiful faceted blue swarovki crystal.
These beautiful earrings are just over 1.50 inches in length.

This is a pair of earrings I designed for a lady that I work with at the hospital. I loved these beautiful clay beads that were hand made by women is Africa. Adding beautiful swarovski crystals pull out the lighter brown tones in the beads.
